Tezpur University

Tezpur University was founded in 1994 in the city of Tezpur, north-eastern India. It exists today as a public research university which offers undergraduate degrees arranged into four different schools, focusing mainly on the scientific, social science, and business fields. As well as undergraduate offerings, Tezpur University also has available various MBA and PhD programmes. In conjunction with these opportunities to study, the university also has research institutes so that students have the chance to take part in research, and make their own contributions towards whichever academic field they have chosen. The university has a large campus on the rural outskirts of Tezpur, which plays host to a large number of accommodation buildings as well as many of the university’s recreational facilities and dining areas, and dedicated health, horticulture and computer centres. The university also has sports arenas available for use by students, in addition to a number of other clubs and student societies providing activities for those studying there. Students at the university also have access to the city of Tezpur and the region of Assam, with its rural attractions and tea gardens, plus its well-known parks and Indian religious and cultural sites.
