Cambridge Education Group announces new partnership with the University of Reading

Cambridge Education Group announces expansion of its pathway programs for international students through a new partnership with the University of Reading. The ONCAMPUS Reading centre will offer an Undergraduate Foundation Programme (UFP) and will welcome its first students in September 2017.

ONCAMPUS Reading will offer successful international students guaranteed progression to a range of Art and Design degrees at the University of Reading. ONCAMPUS students will receive high quality teaching, especially tailored to international students’ needs, to ensure they are ideally prepared to be successful on their chosen degree programme.

The University of Reading is an outstanding educational institution, with an internationally renowned reputation for the quality of its research and the excellence of its teaching, positioned among the top 1% of universities worldwide and 25th in the UK by the QS World University Rankings 2016. Reading is one of the most in demand UK universities, where up to seven students typically apply for each place.

In easy reach of central London, the University has invested nearly £400m in its award-winning campuses in the last decade to create new top-class student accommodation, as well as state-of-the-art teaching facilities. It was voted by students as having the joint 3rd best campus environment in the UK in the Times Higher Education (THE) Student Experience Survey 2016.

ONCAMPUS Reading students will progress to degrees in the School of Arts and Communication Design, which is home to a vibrant 24-hour studio community with state-of-the-art facilities, well-equipped studio space, a student-run gallery and commercial student-supported design and print studio.

  • Has the #1 world’s largest and most significant Samuel Beckett archive
  • Counts 3 Turner Prize nominated artists among its alumni
  • Creates over 100 performances, films and television programmes within the Department of Film, Television & Theatre each year
  • Has 95% student satisfaction in Drama, Cinematics & Photography (National Student Survey 2015)
  • 95% of Drama and 90% of Graphic Communication, Cinematics & Photography graduates are in work/further study after six months (Destination of Leavers from Higher Education DLHE 2015)

ONCAMPUS Reading will offer international students, who have completed senior secondary education, the opportunity to enrol on a specialist Undergraduate Foundation Programme (UFP) in Art and Design at a historic British university, ranked sixth in the country for Art & Design in the Complete University Guide. On successful completion, students are guaranteed progression to Year one of a range of art, design, film and theatre degree subjects at the University, whose noted alumni include three Turner Prize nominated artists. The centre will enrol its first students in Sept 2017.
