Most medical schools in the UK require successful completion of A Levels or the International Baccalaureate (IB), with top grades in Biology, Chemistry and either Maths or Physics. Overseas students also have to demonstrate an English proficiency equivalent to IELTS 7.0 (7.0 in each skill).

The University Foundation (Medicine) provides an alternative route to medicine for international students who have not studied A Levels or IB. It is accepted for entry to a medical degree at The University Of Central Lancashire, subject to grades and other conditions. Please note this international programme does not accept UK students.

Important: Progression to a medical degree is not guaranteed. Successful progression is subject to a competitive entrance interview and you may have to pass an admissions test (e.g. UKCAT or BMAT). It is also very important to demonstrate your interest and commitment through work experience and voluntary work in the health sector. Students who are unable to progress to medicine may be offered an alternative, for example Biomedical Science.

지원자격

Academic	Completion of high school with excellent grades in relevant subjects. For students following the UK curriculum, a minimum of 6 A/B grades at IGCSE (including Maths, Biology and Chemistry) plus AS Level (AAB) in Chemistry, Biology and Maths. Alternatively, A Levels (B in Chemistry and C in Biology & Maths). Offers are subject to a successful admissions interview.
English	English level equivalent to IELTS 6.0 (6.0 all skills) or PTE Academic 50 (50 all skills).
Minimum Age	Minimum age 17 years (at start of course).
