This pathway prepares international students for guaranteed entry1 to undergraduate degrees in Law at The University Of Birmingham. On successful completion, you can progress directly to the first year of a range of degree programmes. See Progression Options below for full details.

The University of Birmingham usually requires top A Level grades (or equivalent) for entry to a bachelor’s degree. Some overseas high school qualifications are accepted, but most international students have to study a foundation year before progressing to a degree at Birmingham.
The Foundation Pathway (Law) is taught on campus by University of Birmingham academics and students have full access to all university facilities from day one. Most overseas high school qualifications are accepted. On successful completion of this course, you are guaranteed progression to the first year of selected bachelor’s degrees at The University of Birmingham.

Completion of high school with excellent grades (85% or B grade average). A Level (CCC) or IB also accepted, but not IGCSE/AS Level. |

English level equivalent to IELTS 5.5 (5.0 all skills). Note: a single, 4 year CAS for both foundation and degree can be issued for students with 5.5 (5.5 all skills), or 6.0 (5.5+ all skills) for English, Law and Nursing. |
