Overview

This is an undergraduate program at Hofstra University leading to a Bachelor’s degree after four years* of study. There are two admission routes, depending on your qualifications and the level of support you need.

  • Direct Entry:
Choose this option if you fully meet the academic and English requirements for direct entry to Hofstra University and you feel confident to live and study independently alongside US students from day one.
  • International Pathway Entry:
Choose this option if you don’t quite meet the requirements for direct entry, or you prefer to start your studies in a more supportive international environment. During the first stage of this program, you will study the same classes as direct entry students, but with additional support to improve your subject knowledge and English skills. In addition, you will receive academic advice to help you register for the right classes and adapt quickly to academic life at a US university.

Note: Direct entry and pathway students study the same curriculum and earn the same number of credits, so you will complete your studies in the same amount of time whichever option you choose.

* Students typically earn 12-15 academic credits per semester and require 120 credits
to graduate with a bachelor’s degree from a university in the US. The average time to complete a bachelor’s degree is 4 years.

Why Choose This Course?

  • A choice of admission routes, with flexible entry requirements and dedicated support for international students. Most overseas qualifications and all levels of English accepted.
  • Generous scholarships available for international students.
  • SAT/ACT scores not required for international admission routes.
  • Gain real world experience through Curricular Practical Training (CPT) and internships. Over 70% of Hofstra students complete at least one internship as part of their degree program.
  • A safe and peaceful campus on Long Island, yet only a short train ride to New York City with its wealth of cultural and professional opportunities.
  • Everything you need on a single, integrated campus, including a range of accommodation and dining options at Colonial Square Residence.
